Epic battle to open the season!

Wowee. The MDPL opens its second season tonight with a modest, single table tourney, and what a doozy it was. Mostly the veterans in attendance along with a rookie debut of Orson Low, faring well with an almost fairy tale comeback from a measley 125 in chips to double-up an incredible six times on all-in showdowns… while Jason had his own late session double-up frenzy to squeak into the money standings… but it was a marathon for sure as six players lasted well into the late rounds with so many all-in survivals to show… including a highlight 7-2 from Amy outpacing hubby Dharm's pocket-rockets with her miraculous two-pair on the flop… meanwhile, back at 9th place, it appears Vince's "bold statements" (aka trash talk) on FB didn't exactly work out as hoped (for him that is)... and after all the dust settled, Norman outduels Nigel to take the first match of the season… and with a healthy prize pool thanks to a hasty (but unanimous) agreement to top-up with double amount due to a lack of change by the house! Apologies to those left on the wait list this time, and kudos to those that brought goodies to share this evening… see you at event #2 in October!
