After two previous (unheard of) tie-breakers, we finally have a winner, and a much-needed Team Blue finally taste victory with a rare win... and a feisty win at that, as both teams skated hard (or not) to work off the holiday turkey... it was tight throughout with goals hard to come by and lots of sloppy play... but a fitting (possible) swan song ending as Toli Sidiropoulos, likely playing his final game in the full-time ranks, nets the game winner on a gaping rebound late in the game... with only minutes remaining and Team Red pressing, an untimely roughing penalty in the offensive zone nabs Peter Choi, in karmatic fashion (from games past perhaps) while riling up the opposition all evening with his dubious goal-crease positioning... thus ending the miracle comeback, but more fittingly, setting up a rubber match for the mini-series victor in the match next week at Kerrisdale! And special thanks to our honorary scorekeeper and lone fan, Nicole Zeidler on this final night at Trout Lake.
