The MDPL gathered during Olympic fever and earned their SHOW-EM chips wearing clothes in support of a country... but those same Olympics were also the likely cause for breaking our 21 consecutive sellout streak as a table of 8 was fielded for the first time... and what a group of 8 it was as a night of quality poker ensued... with likely a few more rebuys and top-ups than anyone suspected, thus greasing the pot to the usual full table numbers... an impressive showing in the latter stages as no clear chip leader emerged and it was really anyone's game for a while there... but Norm Chan prevails to pad his ascent up the leaderboard, while rookie newcomer Flavio Marquez makes a fine runner-up finish in his MDPL debut... Peter Choi rounds out the ITM group wtih a solid 3rd place finish after an early exit from the event previous... while Lackey Condolenius breaks his own 100% ITM streak in this, his third appearance... thanks to all that made it out, and as usual, for the food and drink contributions...
