Oh what a sweet comeback victory from a loss in the previous week, as Team Air Benders came out flying from the puck drop... looking to avenge a bitter loss and tie up the series to send things to the dramatic shootout, and they did just that, running up the score to a 5-0 lead before a goalie swap triggered a Crease Crashing comeback from the blue squad... kept the night interesting no doubt, as the heat was on all night long as the lead inched closer... but a few power plays messed with the flow in an otherwise highly entertaining game to wind up the year... so into the shootout it went, with a new format having goalies face consecutive pairs of shooters and it was Team Crease Crashers that seemed to have saved their best for last as they dominated with 5 goals to 2 with scoring from a few unlikely sources... while the so-called offensive players for Team Air Benders came up snake-eyes when it counted most... all and all another great series and season for all... to be celebrated in the post-season party wrap at BP for pizza, natchos, pop, and beer to usher in the summer... have a great off-season and see you all in the fall... keep in touch!
