The third MDPL season finally kicked off after a summer away from the action... with familiar faces in attendance all vying for first glory on the vacant leaderboard... apologies to those left on the wait list who missed one of the longest running matches (before the first casuality was to be had, which was sometime after midnight)... meanwhile, the saavy play of the three top finishers, Frank Riccardi, Dharmesh Dass and Victoria Wong schooled the table (quite literally, as they collectively knocked out all other players) en route to one of the larger prize pools in our modest single table history... thanks in part to Norm Chan and his record-tying $90 donation to the cause... and ultimately it was the patient schoolteacher that schooled us all as Frank takes the top prize and finds himself atop the MDPL leaderboard! For the rest of us, there was the christening of the brand new 'Losers Lounge' six-person table where Andy Kwan made short work of the group in the cash game battle as a quick study in the games of Omaha and Pineapple. As usual, thanks to to all that brought drinks and treats for the group... see you in October!
