WINTER 2011 SERIES: MDHL GAME #2 REVIEW

Team NEO 6 vs. Team MATRIX 4
Friday, January 14, 2011

Team names are in and it is a throwback to the classic theme of one of the greatest sci-fi stories to hit the silver screen... Frank and Jim lead Team Matrix, while Albert and Sean lead Team Neo... and it was a classic tilt of man vs. machine (okay, not really), but a good close game, even though Team Neo jumped out to an early 5-1 lead... which is somewhat surprising, as they had the goalie that put his pads on in reverse in the pre-game (which is never a good sign I would say)... Team Matrix clawed back to keep it interesting, thanks in part to getting some momentum with the only two powerplays of the night... and kept the score squeaky tight at 5-4 for the longest freaking time... and for the second consecutive game, the goalie is pulled for the extra attacker, but it backfires tonight as Young Yuen puts the dagger in Team Matrix with an uncontested empty netter... all and all, a much sharper game than last week as both sides settle into battle mode as the series unfolds.
