More OT madness. And what madness it was as both teams were locked in another exciting battle tonight, with the epic tilt from last week still fresh on most minds... but with all the sub action squarely on Team Matrix tonight, it looked to be a favourable situation for a bounce back win with Aaron Oye in the mix... but not so, for early on Team Neo hit the scoresheet first, thanks to conversions on 2 on 0 and solo breakaway chances to open up a lead... however, Team Matrix would come back in rolling waves with two solid forward lines... and eventually running up the score to a healthy 3 goal lead, including a few flukey plays that goalie Pete Johnson would love to have back... but trailing late in a game was a situation Team Neo have been accustomed to... as this movie sounds familiar... they storm back with some clutch scoring to tie things up and send it into overtime... with more drama as Sean Oye earns a penalty shot after a defending stick was tossed his way... and he missed!... only to find sweet vindication with the winner in the frantic minutes to follow. Another epic tilt, and one surely for the memory books. Much props go to the ice guy (Chad) for letting our game run late (in both nights).
