Team FALLEN 9 vs. Team CHAOS 5 Friday, June 17, 2011
Final game of the series, with an already-lock for Team Fallen, yet a big dose of pride on the line still up for grabs before summer kicks in... and Team Chaos looked ready up from the get-go, scoring the first goal and battling in a tight 2-2 score early on... but Team Fallen were relentless in their attack and the Oye-Chang combination went to work yet again... a few power-plays for Team Chaos looked to be a prime opportunity (thanks in part to some ample yelling and confusion along the way), but it backfired in a short-handed goal against and momentum was squarely on the series winners as they rattled off about five unanswered goals and ran away with the game.
Only thing left to fight for was the ice-cold beverages in the new-series-shootout format, and it was Gord Chan pulling a rabbit out of his hat with a solid shootout marker, and super sub Brandon Mah with a brilliant effort of his own to seal the deal in a 2-1 victory for Team Chaos (which was small, but sweet consolation no doubt).
And thus it was all over and both teams made their way to the usual BP destination for the season wrap party, enjoying some food, drink and company before everyone kicks into their summer routines. Thus, hockey is now a wrap... hope everyone has a great summer and we will see you all in the fall (if not sooner)!
