 2006 WINTER SERIES: INTRODUCTION

Same players, new roster... stay tuned for teams.

GMs have reviewed the state of the league, in conjunction with competition commitee feedback and have passed the following rule and league changes:

  • All substitutes will be assigned to teams at the GMs discretion (using the MDHL player rating system for reference purposes).
  • Penalties now last THREE minutes each (running time).
  • Goalie swap option (for the losing team captain) now triggers at a SIX goal differential.
  • Hooking infractions will be zero-tolerance (resulting in penalty calls.)
  • Captains, assistants, as well as GMs will be granted the authority to call penalties.
  • Captains, assistants, as well as goalies and GMs will be included in controversial goal decisions.
  • Captaincy voting will be initiated on-line (via web or email voting) before the opening game. Vote at the game in person if you value your anonymity.
