MDHL regular roster members are responsible for their own subs in the event they are unable to attend an upcoming game. These players are strongly urged to secure a replacement for the following reasons:

Chance to recover $ funds from that game.
Won't leave your team shorthanded.
Be reponsible to the rest of the league counting on a competitive game.

The general protocol to find a sub is as follows:

Notify all available sub candidates with game info and wait for response.
Confirm details with the successful respondee and also notify the original candidates that the opening is no longer vacant.

For the benefit of the MDHL players, this site also offers an on-line contact management system to handle the substitution requests.

You do not have the proper privilege level to access this feature.

Of course players are free to find their own sub by their own means (e.g. personal contacts, etc.) however, they become solely reponsible for that replacement's actions on the ice (with regards to rules, infractions and possible suspensions).
